MDC PICNIC 2015

Tomorrow is our yearly MDC picnic 2015, but this year we will also be doing our via during the picnic! As usual, there will be coaches to bring us to and fro from ECP. The different batches are as follow:

Please report by the assigned timing at the foyer.

EXCO SELECTION 2015

Hi all, we've come to our yearly Exco Selection 2015! The positions and their job scopes are the following. However, due to many circumstances, these job scopes are only tentative. Please do not hesitate to run for an EXCO position, choose wisely and good luck!

POSITIONS:

President
- Official point of contact between teachers & members

- Keeps teachers-in-charge informed regarding ALL MDC matters

- Propose, plan agenda and carry out required meetings
- Manages regular practices and ad-hoc events (outlines to be submitted to teachers)
- Proactively aligns club towards MDC vision and mission
- Overall coordinator of the club

Vice-President (Discipline/Liaison)
- Assists President in all MDC matters
- In charge of their respective genders

Secretary
- Manages attendance-taking for all practices
- Jots minutes during all EXCO meetings, organises and compiles soft copy of all MDC meetings
- Manages data (statistical) regarding MDC matters (eg. Shirt sizes, attendance for ad-hoc events)
- Spread urgent MDC official announcements through mass text.

Treasurer
- Compiles receipts for any payment made by members (members to seek approval before buying)
- Collates amount spent for MDC events and keeps soft copy records (for auditing purposes)
- In charge of reimbursement
- Plans and manages funding for MDC events
- Collects monthly funds
- Reports irregularities to teachers-in-charge

Head of Special Projects
- Manages the Special Project Team
- Organizes special events and its details(e.g. Dance Picnics, Human DOTA, NE Trip)
- Draw out timeline for said events
- Producing videos (e.g. Human DOTA Trailer)
- Coordinating flow of events

Head of Logistics
- Manages the Logistics Team
- Maintains studio storage area/various MDC cupboards
- Updates inventories lists
- Ensure serviceability of speakers and other equipment
- Manages roster duty
- Purchases/prepares items needed before every performance (eg. makeup) and other MDC events

Head of Welfare and Marketing
- Manages the Welfare Team
- Ensures well-being of MDC members
- Organises celebration of members' birthdays (Baking is fun :> )
- Prepares refreshments for lengthy training sessions
- Proposes bonding outings /dance performances that club members can attend together
- Organises group study (especially during exam periods)
- Renders first-aid assistance and maintains MDC First Aid Kit
- Provides counseling where necessary

Head of Media and Publicity
- Manages the Publicity Team
- Proposes design and decoration of studio including props for games (eg. Update photo collage on wall, organisation chart, alumni chart, MDC Honours Roll, props for Human DOTA)
- Prepares promotional posters or flyers for events (eg. CCA Exhibition)
- Co-ordinates dance jacket/hoodie and shirt designs
- Update blog with fun stuffs and upload photos on facebook account
- Photographer of events
- In charge of all media devices in studio (eg. speakers, microphone and projector)

MDC Orientation 2015

Hey J1s , we recently had our very own MDC Orientation 2015! How was it? Did all of you had fun? (: On Day 1, we met our juniors for the very first time! We started off the orientation with a cheer off between each group, which followed up with Battle Frontier.

On day 2, we played Chronos Interpretation. I'm sure we all had a good laugh at every group's acting!

Next, we played Dance Till You Drop.

MDC CCA Exhibition 2015

Yo! Thanks for coming down to support our performance just now, we had a blast and we hope you enjoyed our performance too! (: We're glad to have many people coming to sign up at our booth, thank you so much! For those who did not sign up earlier on and are still considering, don't worry, we will be having MDC orientation next Wednesday, do come and join us!! 2015 CCA Exhibition

Hey new J1s, how has orientation been thus far? Have you thought of which CCA to join? Are you a bathroom dancer? Do you have the urge to move your body whenever you here groovy music? We want you to join Modern Dance Club!

We will be having our CCA Exhibition on Wednesday, 4th of February. Come sign up at our MDC CCA booth outside the Wushu room situated under the Auditorium at the TPJC wall. NO AUDITIONS OR DANCE BACKGROUND NEEDED. Think no more, come and be a part of our MDC family!

Also, if you are keen to watch our performance, we will be performing a dance item on the same day, Wednesday, the 4th of February at 3.15pm in the Auditorium! Be sure to come and support us, see you there! (:

Dear all Alumni, we'll be consolidating orders for this gold-white tee starting today. Please reply your respective whatsapp groups if you wish to order. The sizes are likely similar to the previous maroon dance tee. We'll update our Facebook if there are any size similarity changes.
