Goodbye January,
Hello February.
Wow, a month has flown past. Did everyone have a lovely start to the year? (: Anyway, the new batch of J1s came in
on Friday and today was the second day of orientation for them. While they’re
enjoying their school orientation, we dancers and seniors, on the other hand,
are preparing hard for the CCA exhibition and their CCA orientation :D Hehe.
The picture on the right is a sneak peek to CCA exhibition(;
The CCA exhibition and their CCA orientation are things that we are all looking
forward to in the month of February. As Hanis has updated in the previous post,
CCA exhibition is on 15th February, a Friday and it’s an exciting
day for us because we would be showcasing our dance item to the J1s. Though we
are only putting up one dance item, this item is made up of different genres
such as Lyrical, Reggae and Hiphop. Hopefully, through seeing the different
genres of dance, the J1s will be interested to join us.. Besides, not all of us
have background but we’re still in MDC anyway :D Guy or girl, background or not, as long as there’s passion,
I think Modern Dance Club is an awesome CCA to join ^^
MDC orientation will only be taking place after the CCA exhibition, when the
J1s start settling down in their CCA choices. And this is when the fun comes
in..because there’s going to be games and if the alumni are able to join us, it’s
going to be even more enjoyable because the different batches of alumni are
such fun-loving people. I think that the upcoming orientation will give the J1s
a sneak peek to our MDC culture, that though the alumni may come from all
different batches and have graduated already but that they’re still one MDC
because they came from the same CCA :D Oh yeah and if you’re wondering what group names there are for orientation,
the group names are Takelma, Sioux, Mohegan and Kanza. Exotic names right! HAHA.
Our orientation doesn’t end with only games, there’s more. If you haven’t
already heard, there’s going to be an MDC Orientation Camp to welcome the J1s
and it’s settled to be on the first weekend of March so make yourself available
then yeah! It’s gonna be much more elaborate than just the first part of
orientation itself and since it’s a camp (btw, it’s a stay-over kind of camp,
not a day camp), there’s going to be much more bonding and seniors can get to
know their new juniors better through the activities and perhaps the juniors
may be able to experience the MDC family spirit that has been part of our
culture from batches above HEHE. The last time our CCA had a camp was about 2
months ago, it was the MDC LTCamp.. go scroll down the blog to see the post on
it if you haven’t (: which reminds me..there’s also a post with some photos
taken during the Japan trip, go check it out if you haven’t (: I wish I went for
the Japan trip D:
Besides preparing for CCA exhibition, these few weeks have also been spent on
preparing for SYF. SYF is in April and just like how we have picnic last year,
we may most likely be having a picnic again this year, when the SYF period is
over. And when the SYF period is over, we can resume our Friday Dinners again
and hang out on the last day of the schooling week woohoo (:
PS, my apologies for not being able to post the photos of all the events we had
here on this blog..if I do, all the posts would be awfully long and it’ll
become like a gallery blog LOL so if any of you want to see photos taken during
the activities we had, just go to our Facebook profile-TPJC MDC
The photos from picnic, learning journey at Marina barrage, leadership training
camp, they’re all there (:
Yours, anne-marie :D
