"The choices we make in life define who we are and what we become. MDC explores the various experiences that we sometimes go through in our pursuit of our self-identity. In the end, we live because we choose. And we choose to DANCE."

MARINA BARRAGE LEARNING JOURNEY!
Friday, November 23, 2012 1:41 AM
And if you all take a little peek at the 'Events' Section of this blog,
you all will see the event "Marina Barrage Learning Journey" striked off.
Hehe, it makes me happy to be able to strike off that event on the list, not because that the event is over, not because I have a fancy of seeing things being striked off on lists but simply because that event that was so awaited for had come and it was a event that I'm sure many of us enjoyed (:

People say that life is partly what we make it, and partly made by the friends we have around us.
I couldn't beg more to agree with this statement because my day was made by the friends I had when we went to Marina Barrage. Sometimes, i feel that we're so caught in the intense yet mundane pace of this world that we proceed through everything thinking that it is something that we have to go through and we may end up missing the beauty of what lies around us. However, going to Marina Barrage made me think about how blessed I am to be able to share a Thursday afternoon with such lovely friends.

To be real honest, i've never really been a photographer for events or outings before, i preferred very much to just be part of the crowd that's there and just enjoy having photos being taken for me, enjoy being in photos but today, I was given the privilege to take photos. Though I said it to nobody, I was feeling quite weird regarding taking photos, i don't really know how to put this, it is like I wonder whether the shots I take will be of quality, whether they'll be nice to look at, whether I'm supposed to take from different angles but I just took photos anyway. Then after looking through the photos, I saw the value of it all. It is only when one looks at photos of other people that it strikes one that one is indeed blessed to be in the company of such.

Haha, my thoughts aside, here are some pictures, do enjoy (:

Some of us had just finished lessons in school and there we were, at the foyer, gathering and preparing the things we needed to bring along.

Our dear secretary, Peishan, was taking attendance upon boarding the bus.
Everyone getting all settled down for the ride to Marina Barrage!
Upon arriving at the Marina Barrage, these two smiley girls decided to be creative and struck poses with Marina Bay Sands, nice background huh (:
Our dear Rajali got this cheesecake for us! Yumyum, the cheese tasted so good, the oreo base was so satisfying, it felt like a thousand tastebuds were dancing on my tongue :) And most of all, the word MDC was on the cake <3

All of us helping generously helping ourselves to the light snacks.
And who can forget, we're dancers! Doing a little bit of warm-up and stretching while basking in the cool weather.

Welfare Committee did a birthday celebration for October and November babies (:
Cute crowns and cute flower balloons!
Special thanks to the Welfare Committee (:

Talk about walking into a fighting arena, we had our own version of a battle arena..with balloons.

For those of you who were unable to join us today, fret not because we still have Leadership Training Camp to look forward to! (:
